Well we are a family run business that started up in 2005. However 50 years experience in the scrap metal recycling industry. We started out as a vehicle de-pollution centre hence the name caR.I.P However as times changed so did we so we expanded our service and started to buy non-ferrous metals to.
In 2011 we wanted to develop more and offer better services, so we invested in machinery to upgrade the cable we was buying and in doing so we are able to pay more for scrap cable than anybody else.

It’s simple. We pay more, we are environmentally friendly, and we recycle your old metal which releases far less greenhouse gas emissions than the production of making new metal. We look after all our customers and we do it with a smile. So whether it’s your old car, your old boiler or your scrap cable we will pay you for your goods and we are competitively priced with all grades of scrap metal.
If you choose to scrap your vehicle with us it’s good to know that you can do it with peace of mind. We are an Authorised treatment facility and we are fully registered with the environment agency, the DVLA and the local council. With each car we issue a certificate of destruction which is done directly with the DVLA so no paperwork for you, we take care of that. When we collect your car we will ask you for your log book this enables us to notify the DVLA that your vehicle has been destroyed/scrapped by an authorised treatment facility ensuring you are no longer liable for the road fund license.
We like to help and support our local community. In the past we have donated some scrap cars to a local high school Matthew moss so the children could learn about cars, taking them apart and rebuilding them. We loved that we could help the school out and the children loved having the cars. We have sponsored a local football team Rochdalians and a local Rugby team Littleborough and most recently sponsored Mayfield Rugby club. We regularly support charity fundraisers and we love to help out as and when we can.
